Privacy policy

Last updated: September 2026.

We build foundations where organisations own their data themselves. That commits us too. Here you can read which information we process when you use usernest.io, why we do it, and what rights you have.

1. Data controller

Usernest ApS
CVR (Danish company reg. no.): 43881701
Sandtoften 10, 2820 Gentofte, Denmark
Email:

2. What information we process

  • Contact form: name, company, email and your message.
  • The playbook: your email, so we can send you the link to the playbook.
  • Consent: that you gave consent, when, on which page and with which wording - so we can document it.
  • Technical information: IP address, browser, device and the pages you viewed when you visit pages with our forms.
  • Communication: what you write to us by email, and registrations for our events.

We don't ask for sensitive information. Please don't enter it in the forms.

3. Purposes and legal basis

  • Contacting you about relevant products and services from Usernest - based on your consent, which you give by ticking the box in the form (Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw your consent at any time.
  • Running, securing and improving the website - our legitimate interest in a secure, well-functioning website (Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Delivering services to clients and complying with bookkeeping rules - performance of a contract and legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c)).

4. Who we share information with

We never sell your information. We use a small number of suppliers who process information on our behalf under data processing agreements:

  • Customer.io - vores platform til e-mails og kundekommunikation. Her gemmes oplysninger fra relevante formularer og samtykke, og herfra sender vi playbook-links og opfølgning.
  • Google Fonts - provides the website's typefaces. When a page loads, Google receives your IP address.
  • Our hosting provider - runs the server the website is hosted on.

If information is processed outside the EU/EEA, this only happens on a valid transfer basis, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. We also disclose information where required by law.

5. How long we keep information

  • Enquiries and contact details: up to 24 months after our latest contact with you, unless you become a client.
  • Marketing consent: until you withdraw it. We then stop contacting you and delete the information within 30 days, although we keep the record of the consent for as long as we may need to demonstrate it.
  • Client information and accounting records: for the duration of the agreement, and accounting records for 5 years under the Danish Bookkeeping Act.

6. Cookies and local storage

  • Necessary: We store your choice of language (Danish/English) locally in your browser. This does not require consent.
  • Customer.io: On pages with forms, Customer.io uses cookies and local storage to recognise you once you have entered your email, and to record page views. These are only set if you have accepted them in our cookie banner.

You can always change your choice via the cookie banner or delete cookies in your browser.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict processing, to object, and to receive it in a common format (data portability). If you have given consent, you can withdraw it at any time - via the unsubscribe link in our emails or by writing to . This does not affect the lawfulness of processing before the consent was withdrawn.

You can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Datatilsynet (datatilsynet.dk), or to the data protection authority where you live - but we hope you will contact us first, so we can resolve it together.

8. Changes

We update this policy when we change the way we process information. The latest version is always here, with the date at the top.
